Pondiego was established in the year 2025 by William “Taylor” Ward, a loyal initiate of the Honorable and Ancient Order of Turtles, upon sacred land nestled in the temperate zone of San Diego.
Long whispered of but never before located, Pondiego emerged not from a map, but from a state of mind, where progress is measured in ripples and every stone warmed by the sun is a throne.
Here, amid reeds and silence, the Order reclaims its rhythm. Meetings are held in deliberate stillness. Disputes are resolved by out-waiting one another. No member rushes, but all arrive.
Let it be known:
This pond was not built in haste, but in honor.
For though turtles are slow, they are not idle.
And though they carry their homes, they also make new ones—quietly, and with great dignity.
